Help continue to find ways to build a strong sense of community within the judicial branch with enhanced opportunities for networking with colleagues across the state. All you need is an idea, a name, a description and a contact person!
Clarity is open to any judicial officer seeks community with others who are on a path of substance-free living. The only requirement to participate is to be sober for any activities you choose to join. Contact Magistrate Kelley Southerland if you are interested at email@example.com
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Work Group presents an opportunity for diverse judicial officers to have direct and informal communications with each other to discuss the unique challenges of serving on the bench. The discussion will include lived perspectives from new and experienced judicial officers who identify as diverse and who have experienced or are experiencing these challenges. Chamber Chats are scheduled for the first Wednesday monthly from 12:00 – 1:00.
The diversity dinner takes place each year at the Judicial Conference and is a fun, informal time for judges of diverse backgrounds to connect and build community. Contact Roberto Ramírez for more information! firstname.lastname@example.org
Judges Fighting Hunger:
This is an annual service project that allows judicial officers to get together to meet at the food bank, package beans and donate them to the food bank so they can be provided to those in need throughout the fall and winter. This is an amazing, quick way to help the community right before Thanksgiving! Contact Roberto Ramírez for more information! email@example.com
Judicial Well-Being Committee:
The Judicial Well-Being Committee is responsible for making recommendations on actions Colorado Judicial can take, given existing resources, to provide judicial officers with increased educational and/or clinical support to support their professional and personal lives. Contact Monica Márquez to find out how you can get involved! Monica.firstname.lastname@example.org
Judicial Wellness Roundtable:
Judicial Roundtables provide judicial officers with support and practical ways to handle the unique pressures and stressors of the bench. Roundtables take place nationally with great success, and we are thrilled to host them in Colorado annually at the Judicial Conference. This free resource gives judicial officers the opportunity to discuss their experiences in a confidential setting with colleagues who share a dedication to the work and who understand the gravity and importance of the role. If you would like to organize a Roundtable for your district or event, please contact Sarah Myers, Executive Director of the Colorado Lawyer Assistance Program (COLAP) at 303-986-3345.
Moms on the Bench:
Are you a judicial officer and a mom? Come share ideas, strategies and resources with your colleagues at the Judicial Conference in this supportive, fun and inspiring community. Contact Colleen Clark for more information! email@example.com
