Human beings were Born to Run. So said Christopher McDougall’s 2009 best seller. But if you’ve never been a runner before or if the thought of running fills you with dread, then you may not have experienced the joy and health benefits running provides.
Where to start? It can be intimidating. Luckily, there an app for that. In fact, there are many “couch to 5K” free apps. Check one out such as “C25K” at your smartphones App store. The goal is to ease a person into running in a safe, effective, and non-intimidating way. As the name implies, the app is a tool for folks just looking to get started.
At the end of 8 weeks, you’ll be ready to run your first 5K. By that time, hopefully, vaccinations will be widespread and you’ll be able to run a race near you.
